Primrose Pandas are Respectful, Responsible and Safe

Dear Primrose Families,

Busy week and so much to be thankful for here at school. We enjoyed two assemblies this week and today was our first, full school assembly to meet our new School Resource Officer. Such a pleasure to come together, hear student ideas and questions and connect as a school.

Our PTO has worked tirelessly throughout the week to offer our students the book fair and to host the family night so that parents and siblings could also join in the fun. This is an incredible undertaking with countless volunteer hours needed to make it a success. Thank you to all of our parents for committing their time and energy to this. My favorite moment, aside from seeing the excitement of our students when they selected their books, was hearing a parent share that it felt so good to see the school community come together and enjoy the family night on Wednesday.

Also in full swing is our PTO enrichment programs afterschool. Students have had a variety of activities and sports to enjoy and learn more about. If you didn’t have a chance to join this round or your schedule didn’t match up, no worries. There will be a second session offered later this spring.

Reminder to our families that March 13th is a Professional Development Day for our teachers and administrators so there is no school on Monday. We will see you all on Tuesday.

Educationally yours,

Coleen Smith

On Thursday our second graders were able to participate in a hands-on learning experience here at school during the Dinosaur Rocks presentation. This was a fun and engaging opportunity for them to expand on what they have all been learning in class over the past several weeks. Our students were thrilled to see the fossils he brought and were eager to share what they know. As one of our teachers shared, “the students were thoroughly engaged and had so much fun!”

March Madness is in full swing!

So far 2 books have advanced to the Elite Eight round. "Knight Owl" and "Blue" will be continuing on in our Tournament of Books!

You still have a few days to read and vote for our Cats vs. Dogs Matchup. Links are available on the library website

Next up we have a DANCE OFF! One is sad and one is sweet . . . which will advance to the next level? It's up to you!
