BMS New Information:

BMS Building Update:

The new building is looking amazing. Our materials were moved over from the old building, most of the furniture has arrived and is assembled, and technology is being installed. Our construction team has been working hard finalizing the “punch list” for us to receive the certificate of occupancy. We hope to have that by mid August. Once we have the certificate, our office staff, Mrs. Bulk, and I will be able to work out of the building. Until then, we are working out of the high school counselor office. Please see the link below for our most recent BMS Building Project Blog update.

Cluster Letters:

Tentatively we are scheduled to send out cluster placement letters the week of August 12, 2019. Once cluster placement letters have been sent, there will not be an opportunity to change clusters/placement.

Locker Day(s) for Incoming 6th Grade Students/Families:

Due to our incoming 6th graders not receiving a proper introduction to our new learning community, this year, we have revamped our Locker Day experience for our incoming 6th graders. Students and families will be able to come to BMS on their designated days to receive their computer device, tour the building, open their locker, meet their teachers, as well as have a picnic dinner in the student union. We hope you can make this very exciting night.

  • Tuesday, August 27, 2019: Lime Cluster Locker Day from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

  • Wednesday, August 28, 2019: Razz Cluster Locker Day from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

  • Thursday, August 29, 2019: Yellow Cluster Locker Day from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

7th/8th Grade Building Tour:

In addition, on Friday, August 30, 2019 we will also open the building for our incoming 7th and 8th graders to tour the building from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Students and families will be able to receive a guided tour by one of our BMS Student Tour Guides.

BMS Community Building Tours:

The district is planning various BMS Community Building Tours. Please stay tuned regarding communication on these dates for these opportunities.

Fresh Look to our Website:

Our district’s website has been updated and received a fresh new look. Over the next few weeks we will begin to populate and update the website. Please bear with us as we make this transition. The website will allow for “push” notifications, posts to social media, and the ability to send emails.

BMS Building Update:

The new building construction is well underway. To help with communication, each week I have been releasing the BMS Building Project Blog. You can access the blog by visiting the BMS Building Project Homepage or the direct link to the BMS Building Project Blog. In addition, each Tuesday morning we will have a student volunteer give updates to our student body during morning announcements.
