December Lunch and Learn
Ms. Seibel, the school nurse, had such a good time at Lunch and Learn! She gave a little background about herself, including personal and professional history. Her favorite job was right here at Primrose Hill! Ms. Seibel stated the best thing she liked about her job was all the smiles from the children throughout the day. She showed the children how to take a blood pressure and a temperature. She also reviewed many diagnoses that children have at PH including diabetes, asthma and allergies. There was a demonstration from 2 girls that have diabetes in regards to their care while in school. Ms. Seibel reviewed the need for a healthy lifestyle. She mentioned how important it was to get a good education. When asked many children raised their hands stating they would love to be a nurse when they grew up!! At the end of the talk, each child received a First Aid Kit to take home.
